Attire: This will be Glenmore Hunt's Opening Meet and a joint meet with Rockbridge Hunt.
Formal attire for Glenmore Hunt members and Rockbridge Hunt members. Virginia Hunt Week participants are welcome to wear formal attire or ratcatcher. Braiding is optional for members and not required for Virginia Hunt Week participants. Scarlet and/or coats with colors are welcome.
More: Three flights will be available and the terrain is rolling hills with pasture and woods. Suitable for barefoot horses as well.Directions to fixture:
Cellular services can be spotty closer to the fixture. Look for directional signs from Parkersburg Turnpike and Swoope Road.
From Interstate 81.From North of Staunton, Take Exit 225 West for Route 262 West.
Go 8 miles to the Exit for Route 254 West (Parkersburg Turnpike).
Turn right (away from Staunton).
Go west 4 miles (through the village of Westview and across the Middle River).
Turn Left onto Route 876 (Swoope Road).
Go 1.6 miles. Turn Right onto Route 703 (Hewitt Road).
Go 1.4 miles (passing Route 876 - Cattleman Road and Route 706 - North Mountain Road).
Parking will be in a field on the Left before the historic red brick house.From South of Staunton, take Exit 220 Route 262 North.
Go 4.3 miles to the Exit for Route 254 West (Parkersburg Turnpike).
Turn left (away from Staunton).
Go west 4 miles (through the village of Westview and across the Middle River).
Turn Left onto Route 876 (Swoope Road).
Go 1.6 miles. Turn Right onto Route 703 (Hewitt Road).
Go 1.4 miles (passing Route 876 - Cattleman Road and Route 706 - North Mountain Road).
